# Permissions

How to set up your channel permissions for best use.

Now that your quick-setup is completed you have a list of new channels under the engage to earn category. By default @everyone is set to not have access to view these channels. \
\
You will want to add your Verified users role along with any other roles to the permissions section so they can interact with these channels.\
\
Below we will go over the permissions for the category and permissions for a couple individual channels.

1. Start with editing the Engage to Earn category by right clicking on the category and go to Edit Category.

2\. Under the category Permissions, you will want to add any roles that you want to have access to the engage to earn tools. Generally we add whatever your verified role would be and then any other roles you members may have.\
\
For the settings you want to have each role with **Send Messages** DISABLED.\
Then **View Channels**, **Add Reactions** and **Use External Emoji** ENABLED.\
Make sure you save your changes at the bottom.

3\. Next we want to manually edit the permissions of the **#submit-quests**, **#daily-work**, **#games**, and **#loot-arena** channels. You want your community to be able to freely send messages in these four channels.\
\
You will have to edit each channel **one at a time**, you can edit the channel by clicking the gear icon next to it.

Open the edit channel section to update permissions so your community CAN send messages in these channels.

To edit the only permission change you are doing on these four channels is to allow your members to **Send Messages**.\
Remember to save changes at the bottom.
